The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) have been organizing National Essay Competition since 2001 to build awareness among students at the national level …
The target group are 8, 9 & 10th class students. An illustrative poster along with the rules and regulations is sent to the schools to help students to use their imaginative skills for participation in the competition.

Cash prizes are awarded to first, second, third and ten consolation prizes are distributed and also Best School Award for the school sending the largest number of entries during the Annual General Body Meeting of CHAI. A certificate of participation is given to each entrant.

A Centre of Excellence, a partnering venture, is being set up to harmonize the national, state and church efforts in the care and control of HIV/AIDS. Activities include Out patient and Inpatient services, Referral linkages, and Training.

A Clinical Consultation Hotline is being put in place to provide physicians across the country with timely acces to up-to-date HIV/AIDS clinical information, and individualized expert-case consultation.
